Why Choose an ABS Builder

With the numerous consumer 'nightmare stories' we have all heard about and seen on Current Affairs programs, it's about time consumers can feel good about the selection of their builder and more importantly, the quality of the work they can expect. ABS builders are among the most respected builders in the industry.

Firstly, an accredited ABS Builder will present his credentials to you up front. He will have an ABS ID card that will feature his name, a photo ID, his contact details, as well as details of the service with ABS and his experience in the building industry.

An ABS Builder also undergoes a substantial background check before they are accredited with our company. As part of this process, the Builder must agree to abide to the ABS Builder Participation Rules. These are a set of safeguards developed to monitor a project from 'end to end' so that the consumer knows that their interests are being looked after.

Two of those rules are:

Costing Checks - A builder must submit all his costings for the project to ABS for verification by our Quantity Surveyors before commencement. We ensure the price submitted to the consumer is fair and represents an amount that the project can be completed.

Building Inspections - ABS will complete building inspections during the project construction by our qualified building inspectors that have 25 years experience in the industry. We ensure that the work completed by the builder corresponds with the progress claims made and, at the same time, the quality is of a high standard.
