 The first stage in gaining Home Owners Warranty is to become accredited with ABS. The process is simple - just complete the application form, attach your passport-size photo and subscription fee and then submit for processing.
In submitting the Accreditation Form, you must agree
to the ABS Builder Participation Rules. In essence they are:
 The builder does not need to submit financials for accreditation.
The builder must submit his costings on each project he is applying for HOW. The costs will be checked by the ABS QS for accuracy.
The builder must agree to building inspections during the construction of the project to verify the status of the project as well as the quality. The builder's financials and project costings are only submitted when applying for HOW for a particular project and not at the accreditation stage. Once ABS receives the completed accreditation form, we will then complete a company search through ASIC, a licence check through the Office of Fair Trading as well as a background check on your experience and quality of work. Should these fulfill our criteria, you will then be accredited with ABS. As a subscriber, you will attain the following:- Qualify for 'Certificate of Eligibility' with ABS
