1. Freedom to build again with no restrictions.
Since the introduction of Home Owners Warranty, builders have had to go to exhausting lengths to 'prove' themselves over and over again. Now with the ABS System, your building record has worth and you can get on with what you do best.

2. Not required to provide Assets or Bank Guarantees.
By agreeing to the ABS Builder Participation rules, putting up security in order to secure Home Owners Warranty is now a thing of the past. Why should you be discriminated against just because you don't have sufficient assets to meet the Insurance Company's asset rules?

3. No more limits on your expansion plans?
Under the present system, if you intend to expand your business you were again restricted. Under the ABS System, there is no cap to the amount of building you can do in a year. Whether it be 4 residential houses or 40 units, you now have control over your destiny.

4. Referral work passed to ABS Accredited Builders.
As the word spreads, more and more consumers will demand builders follow the ABS system. These consumers will be passed on to our builders giving you further opportunities to expand your business.

5. ABS Backup and Builder Credibility.
Having your costings verified and your work checked by our Building Inspectors, it gives your clients further confidence in your building ability and professionalism.

THE ABS IDENTITY CARD

When you subscribe to become an ABS Accredited Builder, you will be provided with an official ABS Identity Card. It will be a symbol to the marketplace that not only is your work up to a professional standard but it will also contain your own particular details and building experience. Particulars your ABS ID Card will contain include:

Your Photograph � a passport size photograph (supplied by the builder) will be featured on the ID Card. It gives credibility to your customers that they are dealing with an ABS Accredited Builder.

Your Contact Address � You are not just a Post Box but can be contacted by the client and work together on the project.

Your Accreditation Number � Should clients require confirmation of your status with ABS, you simply get them to call us and quote this number. It is also your identifier when applying for HOW with Lumley General.

Builder Status � There will be 2 identifiers on your ABS ID Card:

'Gold Stars' and 'Bronze Stars' .

Gold Stars represent the years of service with ABS with builders starting off with a single star. Every 5 years, a builder will receive a further star to signify that he has maintained the highest standards of quality and professionalism during that period.

Bronze Stars represents the period of time a builder has been in the industry from the start of their Apprenticeship. A star is shown for every 5 years of service and gives the public an awareness of the experience level of the ABS builder.
